I get chills at 2:00, and 2:25 brings tears to my eyes.

OMG, you haven't seen Brassed Off! ??? You have to see it! It's called Brassed Off! (of course) which is sort of a silly name, but the movie is wonderful, especially if you like brass bands. Or Pete Postelthwait! Or Ewan McGregor! The story centers around a colliery band in a small town in which the town is nearly dead and the colliery that employs nearly everyone is being shut down, so the town will be dead and so will the colliery band. The background for this scene is that the director (played by Pete Postelthwait) is in the hospital dying, so the band comes to play for him. Ewan McGregor's character has had to sell his horn in order to make ends meet, which is why he is whistling his part instead. The trombone player who is crying is Danny, the director's son.

It's really a sweet, lovely movie and I highly recommend it! :)

I've heard that version referenced as "the only Danny Boy I can stand." In its context in the film, it's even more beautiful.

Still can't snag a DVD of it, but it's been available streaming on Netflix and we watched it a month or so ago:)
