Okay, so this is going to sound strange, but...I'm not sure I actually saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was on last night, but it was really late and I was heading to bed, so I didn't watch all of it. And...I have no memory of the scenes I was watching!

Did I somehow miss seeing the movie?

Apparently Ron had a little girlfriend that Hermione was jealous of and called a bimbo. Ron was in the hospital ward. Harry and Draco had a wand fight in the boys' bathroom, Draco was injured and Snape healed him.

I DON'T REMEMBER ANY OF THIS.

Of course, I remember the general idea of it from the book, but the visuals seemed brand-new. If I didn't see it, how in the world did that happen? Or was this some sort of extended version that I hadn't seen? It's kinda weirding me out.

Yeah, sounds familiar, but because I only saw the movie once I have no recollection on how Ron came to have that girlfriend before he and Hermione hooked up. I have to watch a movie at least two or three times in order to remember most of it for a while. I have very little recollection of movies I saw 5 + years ago if I only saw them once.

Oh, it's all in there, not an extended edition. But it's not one of the better-made HP movies so, eh.

I really don't think I've seen the movie! I can't imagine how that happened.

Wait a minute...what year was that one out? If it was around 2006, that could explain a lot.

*LOL* Yes, that was all front and center in the movie. Ron's girlfriend was Lavender Brown, who called him "Won Won". Ooo, she was as perfectly annoying in the movie as in the books. The scene with Draco and Harry in the Bathroom is one of the most pivotal of movie and book--that's the Sectumsempra scene, where Harry uses a spell he finds in the notes of the Half-Blood Prince's potion book and doesn't realize it would do as much damage as it did. Prior to the battle, Draco is sobbing in the bathroom, because he's so wrought with guilt over being charged to kill Dumbledore, and Snape's finding them alerts him to Harry's having his old potions book, so the whole sequence is very important.

If you haven't watched it, you need to go back and catch the scene where Harry takes the Felix Felicis (the happy potion he won off concocting a perfect Draught of the Living Death in potions) because that entire scene is hysterical, especially his reactions to Hagrid and Aragog. And the end is marvelous. Also, I think you must have seen the scene with the tweeting birds Hermione is popping off with her wand because she's upset over Ron and Lavender, and Harry comes and comforts her. Which I thought was lovely, but also hated, because I was a H/HR shipper back in the days and I always rued when they threw Dan and Emma together touchy feely like that. *shakes fist*

Huh. Okay, that's it, I'm searching for the DVD (all mine were packed away several months ago when we thought we were selling our hose -- and now I'm not exactly sure where they are *facepalms*) and watching it. Because the Felix Felicis potion thing doesn't sound familiar, either! Weirdness.
