This is my brain on fandom.

Okay, so I know probably nobody wants to read about my crack-ass dream last night, so I'm gonna put it behind a cut. Be aware that if you know nothing at all about The Watchmen and want to keep it that way, you probably shouldn't read.

It was a Supernatural dream, to start with, which in itself is notable since I've never dreamed about the show. There was a lot of stuff where Sam and Dean grew farther and farther apart until they were actually working against each other, Sam with the help of Ruby and the demons, and Dean with the help of Castiel and the angels. It came down to the final showdown, where somehow (in that dream way in which your brain decides something works and goes with it), Sam and Dean realized just in the nick of time that neither the demons nor the angels were actually working on the side of good -- that Sam and Dean were really the angels (metaphorically) in the sense that they had fought their entire lives to save people and the angels and demons were just using them to take over the world, and Sam and Dean had to work together as a family (remember John saying "we are stronger as a family?") and fight them all in order to save the world.

Pretty cool, right? I'm pretty chuffed at how my brain worked that out. BUT WAIT; THERE'S MORE! So, Sam and Dean have started on their quest to defeat all of the supernatural beings, and we have a flashback to when they were very small boys, except John was being a complete asshole. Like, I really like John and my own personal canon is that he was a fairly lousy father but he did love his kids. Which is why it's weird that in my brain, he was constantly drinking and screaming at the boys while crying and all sloppy-drunk, and he had the boys LOCKED UP IN CAGES IN THEIR LITTLE FOOTIE PAJAMAS. It was then that I realized that...*flourish*...John was actually the Comedian!

Good morning, fandom. <3
