fangirl_saysThe Hollywood Reporter is saying the CW plans to air new drama Vampire Diaries on Thursdays at 8 p.m., betting on the established sci-fi audience that are already accustomed to tuning in then. (Please note that THR does not name its source for this information, so for now it's just a rumor.) The article seems to say Smallville would not be coming back, but I've also heard it's headed for Friday night.
What do y'all think? Personally, I think it's an excellent idea. Smallville has been fading fast, and it's certainly not doing Supernatural any favors. I'd watch Vampire Diaries anyway, and putting it on Thursdays would make it all the more convenient. CW, if this is true, I approve.

And yeah, I tend to agree -- it's a good lead-in for SPN, and hopefully the placement (if true) will do both shows a favor.
