Hee! I've been meaning to check it out -- half my flist is crazy about it, so I figure there's a chance I will be, too. *g*

Now, is this the first season started, or have I missed that already?

There's a lag between the UK and the US. What's airing in the US on Saturday is the first (and only, so far) season.Season 2 is shooting and starts airing in the UK in Janurary, and I have no clue how caught up the US will be by then, but if the way they're handling Doctor Who is anything to go by, they'll either air at the same time or there won't be much of a lag, by then.

I really, really, fucking love this show. Okay, mostly I love the main character, but I love him WAY enough to make up for anything else.

BTW, did you ever get a chance to check out Supernatural?

Yep. It still scares the ever-loving hell out of me, but I'm wiggling my way into fandom with some reading and stuff. ...I'm a little slow *G*

Does BBC America cut swearing? Cos there's more than a bit of the F-word in Torchwood.

(And please don't get your hopes up too high... Captain Jack is awesome, but the show is VERY hit and miss).

I haven't watched a lot on BBC America, but I imagine they'd at least have to cut the f-word. Of course, if it's an American censor, they might not be able to understand what they're saying anyway, especially if the accents are strong. *g*

It's like, there's this song by Nickleback called "Rockstar" which I was surprised to hear playing uncut on several radio stations for AGES. I mean, it's nothing horrible, just things like "gonna dress my ass in the latest fashion" and "hire eight bodyguards who love to beat up assholes". The last one, in particular, was slurred so much that it sounded like it rhymed with tassels (that spelling looks wrong...I've not had enough coffee to figure out if it's wrong or not. *g*) Anyway, finally, several weeks later, the radio stations started playing a censored version with "ass" removed and, most ridiculous, they'd edited the assholes line to sound like "hire eight bodyguards who love to beat up, beat up." *eyeroll* 'Cause, obviously, nobody will know what should've gone there.

And hit and miss, huh? Dang. Oh well, maybe the hits will be good enough to make up for the misses. :)

That's a shame - not all the swearing is gratuitous. There's sex, too. I hope the powers that be don't slice it to ribbons to protect the poor innocent American viewers!
