Creation says Samantha Ferris is too 'working class' for them

Hrm...looks like Creation screwed up (I know, I'm just as shocked as you are!)

From Samantha Ferris's blog:

I should clarify for you here, Carrie....this is certainly no attack on the volunteers...i know the long hours and hard work you put in and i respect you all greatly put in.....my frustration is with the guys putting it in. I find there antics a bit slimy and not 'above board', I'm afraid. Can't speak for the other guests, but after the convention in Chicago (which we rocked at) i was told that i would not be invited back because they heard me say on stage that i was a bartender in the past and they thought that was a little too 'working class' for a guest on their stage. Then they invited me last minute to LA and renegged for reasons that weren't clear. For the Dallas convention, we had a deal, they promoted my appearance and then backed out on a couple of details. So we had to bail out. So you can understand my frustration, right? LOVE the volunteers at conventions...it would never happen without them and they do it all for no money. My hats off to them all.....but the boys at the top need to check their 'decency meter'.....cause it's a bit low.
Wow. Said it wasn't going to dish...and there i did. kinda felt good...in a mean, slightly bitchy kinda way......but its all true and i stand by every word.

Emphasis mine, and wtf, being a bartender is 'too working class'?

From here.

All original material whether posted to a public forum or not is copyrighted by the author and is not to be reposeted in whole content without their permission.

You might have noticed that I didn't post it in whole. I posted a paragraph, which, again, is fair use.

That would mean you can repost the first sentence or two but not the entire thing.

I didn't post the entire thing. Again, I posted a paragraph. And whether or not it's the first two sentences or a paragraph near the end makes no difference. To be blunt, you're wrong.

Samantha Ferris is not going to file any sort of report about me for this post, because I clearly have not done anything wrong. LJ is not going to kick me off for quoting a person in my journal with proper attribution. She's a smart woman, and I'm sure if she didn't want her thoughts heard, she wouldn't have put them out there -- however, the point is still that I haven't done anything wrong here.

You're right, I went back and looked and you did only repost a part of the blog. So technically that is fair use and I apologize to you for saying it wasn't.

But I still wish that Samantha Ferris had been asked her permission first before any part of her comment was reposted elsewhere especially over such a controvesial topic that could cause her problems with Creation. But she is a grown woman and is most likely aware of what might happen.

But hey I had your best interest at heart and was genuinely concerned that you might get hurt in all of this..maybe that counts for something right???

Okay, but you know, your first comment was all about 'the right thing to do' and the illegality of me quoting someone in my journal, and your second quote hinted that I was being discourteous to SF /and/ that I could get tossed off LJ for it, so forgive me if I didn't read all of that as being concerned for me.

It's a public blog and Hanncoll linked to it -- how on earth is that violating any trust? It's not like it was hidden or private or behind a lock of any kind -- Samantha Ferris is posting it to be read, and Hanncoll posted an excerpt and linked to the blog. This is what the internet is for, for heaven's sake.
