fangirl_says: (SPN Winchesters do not approve)

and if a house gets in my way, baby, you know I'll burn it down.

I felt like I shouldn't join in this particular discussion since I'm not going to be able to go to Eyecon this time, but oh my freaking GOD, I'm glad someone finally said something publicly about the skeeviness of having someone host fanfic panels who has made it clear that she thinks anyone who reads or writes Wincest is "the dark side of fandom", and who says slash itself should have stayed underground but she's not a homophobe, oh NO.

Not to sound like a raging bitch, but seriously...who has the TIME to attend her panels, anyway? Last time I barely had the minutes to use the bathroom between actual celebrity events, much less go and discuss my freaking fic with anyone.

God how I agree with this post. I'm glad it's more than one person saying it, too. And I am just, I hate her attitude of "Well it was my journal, c'mon. ;)" Just... I should probably just be quiet, but her blatant homophobia and then telling people that they're just interpreting it wrong just enrages me.

I sort of love that she's all "Tee hee, you act like I am an important fan with clout!" No, dipshit, they act like you said something horribly offensive and prejudiced and people passed you comments around, usually with comments like "Get a load of this homophobic moron" attached.

Honestly, that was my first thought. I only jumped into the thread because of someone bringing up a postcard project and since I'm going to be there, I'd like to be involved in that, since that was the project [livejournal.com profile] phantomas and I started almost two damn years ago.

Oy, I remember that insanity. She seriously made us non-wincesters look BAD... which just pisses me off, because while I might not agree with that concept, I'm not about to berate someone who does.

But that's so weird she's doing that for Eyecon...

Wait. This lady wanted to host a fanfic panel at a con, when she said all THAT...?! Gee, some people really are morons online AND in real life! I feel like I've seen Santa or something. LOL.

Heh. I read all of that and it seems like she's either not understanding how her being a part of a slash panel might not be kosher and is turning it into 'woe is me, peoples thinks I'm important'. *laughs* She might not be a part of the show but she is a coordinator for a convention. If she doesn't like slash and is in charge of panels... isn't there a fair chance that their won't be any slash panels?

I only vaguely remember the wank from before because I was ignoring it. Ha ha ha.

Ignore my last. ;-) I don't want to stir a fuss.

ITA! I was so offended before the last EyeCon when she said that if slash was discussed at the fanfic panels that it needed to be in a subdued, restrained and respectful way. I was like, Dude, wtf does that mean? Do we need to come up with colorful euphemisms like we're 14 and can't call things by their right names without laughing? I can't remember exactly how she phrased it, but she said it in such a way that I thought it was the people running the con who had a problem with slash, but apparently that's not really the case... So glad there are people who will try to take that out of her hands this time...

Yanno what frustrates me? Is that I am ALL ABOUT THE SLASH except I don't like it in SPN. So I can't go GIMME MY SLASH YO, cause I really don't want it. :)

I am a weirdo.
