Flist, play with me!

What's the weirdest/strangest/most unusual/most interesting thing you have in your pocket/purse/briefcase/bag/whatever right now? Extra points for photographic evidence! Explanations optional.

Mine behind the cut.

collar

Old dog collar with bonus!to-do list and bonus!cattle. :)

Okay, I do have to explain this one a bit, because I don't like this kind of collar, and I don't generally use this kind, but Saturday I took two of my dogs to the vet for annual checkups, and I didn't have a collar for our Sheltie because her old one broke awhile back, and she never goes outside except to potty in our fenced backyard and...well, I'm lazy. So I found this old one that my mom used for her dog years ago and it was the only one I had that would fit said Sheltie. Then, we were at the vet and it became apparent that it did not actually fit said Sheltie, so I looped the leash around itself to serve as collar and lead, and put the collar in my purse, where I discovered it still sits this morning.

Your turn!

Alternate for those who don't have purses/pockets/etc.: what's in your cashe right now? Mine is the embedding code for the above pic, so not terribly interesting.

Weirdest thing in my purse:

For a tattoo idea I'm playing with. These are from the chapter heads of the book Good Omens. I'm trying to get decent scans of the pics to give to my artist and it's proving to be annoying. If only more people would take high quality shots of the insides of books and put them on the internet!

Man. I am so boring today. :p

Not boring at all, and those are gorgeous! Y'know, I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I've never read Good Omens. I really, really need to.

Nothing to be embarrassed about. I've probably read it enough for four people. It's pretty much my favorite book ever. I'm planning on getting Aziraphale (the angel) on the back of my right arm and Crowley (the demon) on the back of my left arm. And with you knowing fully that I'm crazy about them, I would totally rec it. It's entertaining, and not too serious, and you watch SPN so I'm assuming you already like stories about angels and demons and the end of the world. ♥

Good Omens is actually the reason I was really excited about there being a demon called Crowley in SPN last week. Now I'm just looking for the cross overs.

can't post a pic as I've been lazy and not renewing my paid account... but I have a mini tape measure in my purse. It measures about 3" across. Handy for last minute costume measuring and/or going to Home Depot!

I don't think I've ever seen a tiny tape measure! Sounds like a great idea, though. :D

I'm so boring (and I just cleaned out my purse....)

Oddest stuff in it at the moment:

Couple of receipts (2 for Target, one for the gas station car wash)
Car insurance card (they always send two - so I keep one on me and one in the glove box, so in case something happens, I can at least find one of them)
pair of blue beaded earrings I took off the other day cause they kept catching on the phone at work
bottle of Desert Essence Blemish Touch Stick

Although it's interesting to note that I have my cell phone and my cell phone case in my purse, but my phone wasn't IN the case.

Dude, I can't even tell you how often I do that. And with my glasses, too!

I have 2 pair of disposable gloves in my little work apron.

Not really weird my being a CeNA. I always put in the pockets 1 or 2 extra pair than I have residents to get up & dressed in the morning. Sometimes I end up using even the extra pair(s) before my shift ends, sometimes I don't. If not, I leave them in the pockets for my next shift.

Very cool!

And, you know, we could put together all the items in this post, throw in a couple of characters of choice and have and decent fanfic. :D

I had two My Little Ponies in my backpack on Friday due to stuffing them in there so the dog would be not tempted to chew on them.

One of them sat on my PC in the collge lab. Kind of funny actually...

Not a terribly exciting one. I was a law enforcement explorer in high school (think boy/girl scouts, only career exploration-oriented). I went to a state conference when I was 16 or 17, and the state police handed out the cards to all of us for role-playing reference (we did traffic stops, domestic disturbance calls, drug raids, and I don't remember what all else--all role-playing scenarios, of course).

I kept my card just because you never hear more than the first sentence or two on TV--and besides, it's cool. ;-)

Well, I switched purses recently, so it's all organized and whatnot right now; but I do have a 4-pack of AA lithium batteries for my camera, and one of those fold-up reusable Target bags. For those occasions when I decided to pick up a thing or two after work. In fact, I used it today when I purchased a pair of comfy fleecey pants with bunnies on them. :D

Two small items: a miniature taxi cab that I was given on a business trip years ago (no sentimental value; just kept it for no reason). And my daughter's hospital wristband when she was born. ...and I can seem to figure out how to post a pic in a comment. :)
