So, is anyone else kinda really hoping Reaper bombed last night?

I know Ausiello's saying it's not a case of the CW screwing the show because it hates it, but...I'm disgruntled. So, yeah, hope it bombed.

edit: Bombed! Granted, it was a repeat of Reaper following a repeat of Smallville (which also bombed), but 1.5 million viewers is kinda embarrassing. Neener, CW! A repeat of Supernatural would've brought you nearly twice that.

I've never watched Reaper, but in a way I kinda feel sorry for it. It's just the poor schmuck the CW moved into SPN's slot. I can feature it wondering "Bzuh? Why does everyone hate me? What did I do?" ;) I think it would do better if the network had left SPN on the schedule somewhere, but as it is, our fandom will not watch Reaper simply because they're ticked at the network. Kinda shooting themselves in the foot, there.

I don't know if it bombed, but it was a repeat, which isn't going to help it in the ratings. I've watched the show a few times & it's kind of cute (I really like Sock & his ex-girlfriend), but it's not "must see" tv. I did not watch last night. I'd seen the episode and didn't particularly like it.

I tried watching Reaper, I did. I just didn't find it entertaining, so I stopped.

Even though I completely understand the switchout -- Reaper and Smallville have a majority male audience, whereas, Supernatural has a majority female, so this is Repear's last shot to grab that male audience that will be leaving the CW once Smallville officially ends -- I kinda hope it bombed too! :P *is spiteful today*

I am in the minority here, because I love Reaper and hoped that airing after Smallville would give it a little shot in the arm (and I really did not think it was an attempt to hurt SPN, or that it would hurt it.) But the CW is handling it just as ineptly as they've ever handled SPN - why in the WORLD would they kick off a last ditch effort to drum up viewers with a repeat of a mid-season ep? It was one of the weaker episodes of the season to start, and it probably wouldn't have any appeal at all to a viewer who didn't already know the story and have an interest in the characters. If this was make or break for Reaper, I'm guessing it's broke. So the whole thing probably benefits SPN in the end - there's now one less viable show to replace it in CW's lineup.
