if it's true, that's sad, and you'd think common courtesy would prevent someone bringing up an unpleasant/uncomfortable situation. however, i wouldn't bet money on his escaping unscathed. (i know this is asking the impossible, but whatever happened to staying out of other people's business, especially when Other People are people you don't actually *know*?)

some people in aspects of fandom really make me cringe, both for the o_O factor and because it gets all the rest of us tarred with the same brush.
