Edit: After one listen -- meh. It's a decent version, but with gaining this version's polish, we're sacrificing a lot of the energy and heart of the live versions we have from the wedding and Asylum. And if anything, Jensen's harder to hear. I'll still buy it, 'cause I believe in supporting up-and-coming artists, especially if I DL something of theirs.

I know I've been crap about replying to comments lately, and I'm really sorry. I love you guys and read everything, but omg I have no brain for anything beyond "Jensen Pretty, Jared Hawt". *hugs long-suffering flist*

Apparently there is more wank in SPN fandom. Or more of the same wank? This time, I gather it has to do with people writing Jensen as overweight, or something. Which...you know, whatever trips your trigger, you know? Beyond that, I really, really don't want to know. Cause again, Jensen Pretty, Jared Hawt.

I have an ear infection wtf. Ow. And also? Ow. Does explain me being in bed by nine the past three nights, though. And, because County employees can use the employees' free health clinic, I saw a nurse practicioner (that looks like it's spelled wrong. Too pooped to care, though.) and was out with an antibiotics scrip within 20 minutes. County benefits ftw!

Every single person I have met or talked to who is employed by the county has been so freakin' nice. I'm sure there must be assholes out there, but so far they haven't found me.

Oh! Oh! You know how, when you start a new job, there's this uncertainty about what people think about various things, and political opinions and whatnot? Well, my supervisor guy noticed my Heath Shuler bumper sticker (Democratic Congressman from my district), and he kind of shook his head and said, "Yeah, I saw your Shuler bumper sticker." And I was all "...um?" because, you know, are they all Republicans here or something? And then he shook his head again, like it was such a shame, and said "Yeah, if we'd known that..." and I'm bracing for the worst, and he sort of leans in closer and says, very quietly "...we'd have had to give you a raise." \o/ So, it turns out that all but one person in the building is at least nominally Democratic. Not too shabby for a place with pictures of Dubya and Cheney on the wall (and the Cheney picture -- omg I'm not sure how this can be his official picture, because he's quite literally /smirking/ and all smarmy and I HATE HIS FREAKIN GUTS.)

Now, if I find out they're all Supernatural fans, I may marry them on the spot. All of them. And we'll have this one huge, polygamous, Bush-snarking, Supernatural-watching enclave OF LOVE.

TV Guide: There are Samoholics and Deaniacs out there. You each have your own coterie of fans, don't you?
Ackles:What's funny is the network always talks about how we skew to a younger audience, but at the events we go to, the ones who show up at the set are usually women ages 30 to 50. It's actually pretty cool.

ZOMG they love us 'mature' fans \o/ !! *g*

Seriously, though, I really like that they know who a large part of their audience is -- not that there's anything wrong with an under-30 audience at all, but I do sometimes think The CW just doesn't get that we're out here. Or doesn't care that we're out here, maybe.

Also, this is all kinds of awesome:

TV Guide: Is it true you and Jared had a bonding experience when you were attacked by some rowdy Canadians?
Ackles: You mean when Jared, his buddy Jordan and I were jumped by seven or eight guys? There had been this fight at a bar and these guys got kicked out. They were pretty tanked. This one girl sees me walking by and says, "That's the guy," meaning she knew me from the show, but they thought I was some guy she had been fighting with. They started swinging at me and it was an all-out brawl.

TV Guide: How'd you do?
Ackles:We got away and put two of them in the hospital. I got away first, then I turn around and see three or four guys teaming up on Jared. I was like, "Oh, man!" I run back in and I'm fly-kicking at some kid, hit another guy, grabbed Jared's shirt — of course, I ripped his favorite shirt — and I'm yelling "C'mon, let's get out of here!" We were pretty tight after that.

They've mentioned that fight before, of course, but holy crap THREE OR FOUR guys were teaming up on Jared?! And Jensen came running back in fly-kicking (WTF IS FLY-KICKING; CAUSE IT SOUNDS VAGUELY KINKY, YO), punched a guy and dragged Jared out of there by his SHIRT (RIPPING IT OMG) and, okay, where is the RPS of this and the adrenaline-fueled post-fight sex? *gimme hands*

Oomph. Okay, so if you absolutely don't want to know /anything/ about a future episode (i.e., you don't even want to know what they'll be wearing), then don't click. Otherwise, please join me behind the cut...

Edit: Unrelatedly, Sarah Wayne Callies is apparently not returning to Prison Break this year. Well...this should shake things up a bit, I suppose. I wasn't wild about PB towards the end of last season, so maybe this is the kick in the pants the show needs to get back on track.
