Things are better so far this morning. I'm waiting for a call back from the neurologist regarding whether they can see him today or not. If not, I'll attempt to get an appointment with his GP. Failing that, Urgent Care. I didn't end up taking him to the ER yesterday because when I called the house supe, she pointed out that if he became violent there it would probably end in an involuntary commit order and him being held there for 72 hours, followed by possible commitment to some sort of facility. And since he is an adult male (physically) and has violent outbursts, none of the few options available for a facility are good ones for him.
Thankfully, the med helped, so I'm going to be insisting on a prescription for him. Someone -- I don't especially care who -- is going to give us one.
Edit:
Also, my instructor, whom I've been told is a complete hardass about not accepting late work, told me not to worry about turning in the paper that was due last night, just to 'reconnect when you can.' Such a huge relief, because writing a paper was clearly not happening yesterday.
