Whoa. Um, I just updated my friends list from Semagic and found three or four people who unfriended me -- and whom I apparently unfriended as well -- that I had no idea I didn't have friended anymore.

*blinks*

Very weird. I could understand if I'd been unfriended and didn't realize it -- you know, maybe the notifications weren't working. But...I'd think I would remember unfriending people.

I'll be over here being very, very confused.

I think that if someone deletes their journal (or is deleted by TPTB), it appears as mutual defriending. Maybe. Something like that.

It also happens when someone renames their journal - then it appears as mutual deletion as well as mutual adding :)

If someone renames their LJ, it shows up in Semagic as

you added NEW NAME
you were added by NEW NAME
you deleted OLD NAME
you were deleted by OLD NAME

Or something roughly similar.

Huh...maybe that was it. I don't remember seeing any names added that I didn't recognize, but it's possible I just missed that part.

If you open Semagic and click Journal> Edit Friends, then select the Friends History tab, it will show you a list changes to your Flist by timestamp.
